Alice was the first of 8 children of William & Mary Duesler. She had brothers Miles, Harry, Oliver [died at 2 yrs] and twins Floyd & Lloyd and sisters Julia and Effie [died at 2 yrs].
Alice married John Bateson on Oct. 5, 1884 in Wood County. They had twelve children between 1886 and 1909 listed above. All living children married except Mabel.
Alice was only 44 when she died on June 29, 1911 John died 32years later on Aug. 6, 1943. Both are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wayne, Ohio.

ALICE I. BATESON of Prairie Depot, OH where she died at home on June 29, 1911 from pul-monary tuberculosis at age 45 yrs, 26 days. Interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Wayne. OH July 2nd.
Informant was husband John R. Bateson of Prairie Depot. He stated she was born in Seneca Co. on June 3, 1866. However her grave stone used 1867 - don't know which year is correct. Her parents were William Duesler and Margaret Hoover, both born in Seneca Co.
