SUSAN ELIZABETH CLARK: 89; Osakis, passed away [Tuesday10-6] from a heart attack. She was born 15 May 1870 at CedarLake MN, to Wm & Rebecca Betts. When she was 17yrs of age, she moved to the Osakis area & had lived here since. On 15 Dec 1888, she was united in marriage to Charlie Clark at Long Prairie MN. To this union 7 children were born, 6 of whom survive. A dau Grace (sp-Alvin) Kirk & MrClark preceded her in death. MrsClark was a member of Osakis Methodist Church.
Surviving children are: Charles; Minnie (sp-Ed) Norgan-Rockford MN; Walter-Osakis; Rebecca(sp-Lars) Hjernstad-Rockford; Ernest-Compton CA & Helen (sp-Ray) Larson-MtVernon WA.
Relatives attending funeral services included: Mr-MrsEd Norgan, Mr-MrsStanley Leaf &son-Rockford; Mr-MrsEldred Betts-Minneapolis; Mr-MrsGerald Clark-Willernie; MrsBen Clark, Chas Clark, Harold Betts, Douglas Clark-Brainerd; Mr-MrsVernon Kind, Mr-MrsJohn Hartigann &Tim-SaulkCentre; Carl Berg-Alexandria, Mr-MrsHenry Schramm-Early IA.
Last rites for MrsClark were held from Osakis Methodist Church on Saturday [10-10] with RevWilfred Plummer officiating. Pallbearers are listed. Interment was in Lakeside Cem-Osakis.
