Ida was the granddaughter of George Washington Sinclair and Lucinda Cosby of Orange County Indiana and the great-granddaughter of Isaac Sinclair and Letitia Douglas of Breckinridge County Kentucky, formerly of Bedford County Virginia.

She was the sister of Howard Waymon St. Clair of Iron County Mo, Lloyd Elmer St. Clair of Miami Florida and Alameada Sinclair.

She was the half-sister of Floyd, Gilbert Elwood, Carrie Ethel and Nancy Sinclair; and of Mary J., Sarah Ellen, Arzella Alice, George W., Arma Eliza Ann, James W., John E., Charles Elias and Clara E. Sinclair.

Ida married Joseph Zaretzky about 1908 in St. Louis and was the mother of Elsie, Elvina, Joseph Lloyd, Paul Elmer and Howard Eugene Zaretzky. Paul and Howard were twins; Elvina died with her daughter after being struck by a car as pedestrians.

Her brother Howard married Rosalie Zaretzky in Iron County Missouri.
