She was a native of Randolph County, the daughter of the late Noah and Malinda(Summers)Betts. She was the widow of Ernest L. Cook.
Survivors include two sons, John T. Cook and James W. Cook, both of Winchester; five daughters, Margaret Snyder, Maxine Kidwell, and Jeanette Ashley, all of Winchester, Dorothy Simmons of Fulton, Texas., and Doris Fisher of Rocky Mount, N.C.; nine grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Richardson of Indianapolis and Anna Scroggum of Morgantown.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ernest L. Cook, Jr.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with the Rev. Keith Wooden officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Maxville.
