Ernest (Doc)Cook,59,railroad employee for twenty-nine years, died of a heart attack at 10:45 o'clock Thursday night at his home in Winchester. He was a lifelong resident of Randolph County.
Surviving are the widow;five daughters,Mrs. Margaret Snyder of Lynn;Mrs. Doris Fisher of Richmond;Mrs. Maxine Kidwell; Mrs. Dorothy Simmons and Mrs. Jeanette Ashley,all of Winchester;two sons, John and James,both of Winchester; seven grandchilden.
Funeral services for Mr.Cook will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Maynard and Walker mortuary with Rev. Marcell Thornburg officiating. Burial will be in Maxville cemetery.
