Margaret I. Ponder was born March 4, 1873. She was united in marriage to Jerry Ponder June 13, 1906, and to this union were born three children. She untied with the M.E. Church in early life. On Sept. 20, 1910 she and her husband united with the Christian Church. While she had sufferings untold during the past two years her faith in God did not falter. During her sickness her greatest hope was reading God's word. She always met her friends with a welcome smile though her sufferings were great. She patiently and lovingly waited the call.

She departed this life Feb. 6, 1918. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, three sons, a loving mother, six brothers, and four sisters besides a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.W. Robertson, after which the body was laid to rest in the Livingston Cemetery.
