PARSONS

Mildred Louise Parsons, daughter of Charles and Sarah Duckworth McDonald, was born Feb. 22, 1915 and passed away at Lucas County Memorial Hospital Dec. 2, 1983 at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 20 days.

She was born near Newbern, Iowa and lived in Lucas County for most of her life.

June 18, 1938 she was united in marriage to Everett (Pud) Parsons and to this union a daughter was born, Barbara Jo of Chariton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Cleta, Iva and Ethel and two brothers, Kenneth and Howard.

Survivors include daughter Barbara, son-in-law, Darl Hixson of Chariton and grandchildren, Kevin and wife Brenda and Julie Hixson, two sisters, Opal Deming of Chariton and Thelma Johnson of Chariton and one brother, Richard McDonald of Russell.

She was baptized in the Christian Church in her early youth. For the past several years she lived at the Chariton Manor and attended church there regularly.

She was a kind and loving mother and sister and a helpful patient and loved to do for others. She will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday Dec 5, 1983 at the Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Hambleton officiating. Interment was in the Coal Glen Cemetery.
