She was born on Aug. 4, 1919 in Luray George Grigsby and Sally Edna Higgs Stroupe.
Mrs. Shenk was a supervisor at Blue Bell and retired in 1963 after 15 years of employment.
She was a member of Leaksville United Church of Christ.
On April 15, 1939, she married Kirby Page Shenk, who died on Nov. 18, 2003.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Wayne Shenk of Luray; two sisters, Betty Lee Dovel of Stanley, and Gladys Marie Good of Luray; and a brother, Charles N. Stroupe of Luray. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Frances Maxine Stroupe, Louise Virginia Hilliard, Elsie Ealine Rickard and June Estelle Wilson; and two brothers, Siford Eugene and Tommy Wayne Stroupe.
