Gladys Marie Good, 90, of Luray, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at MontVue Nursing Home.

She was born on July 19, 1921, in Luray and was a daughter of the late George Grigsby Stroupe and Sally Edna Higgs Stroupe.

Mrs. Good was a member of the Leaksville United Church of Christ.

On Dec. 11, 1941, she married Elwood Good, who died on Jan. 7, 1989.

She is survived by her caregiver and daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Good of Luray; a sister, Betty Lee Dovel of Stanley; a brother, Charles N. Stroupe of Luray; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Steven Good; five sisters, Anna Christine Shenk, Frances Maxine Stroupe, Louise Virginia Hilliard, Elsie Elaine Rickard and June Estelle Wilson; and two brothers, Siford Eugene and Tommy Wayne Stroupe.

A graveside service was conducted on Saturday, April 14, at the Leaksville Cemetery by Dr. Eddie Walker.
