Civil War Veteran Dies At Eddyville
John H Hoffman, Aged 80 Years, Mustered Out
John H. Hoffman, 80 years old, died Saturday afternoon in his home at Eddyville, Pa. He was born in Eddyville and had lived there his entire life. He was a Civil War Veteran, a member of Company D. One Hundred and Third Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was a member of the Eddyville Reformed church and a past grand member of the Putneyville Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 735.
He leaves, besides his wife, three sons, R.C., W.H. and J.B. Hoffman and three daughters, Mrs. W.A. Burchfield, Mrs. D.A. Hall and Mrs. R. M. Fair, all of Tarentum.
