Eddyville Native Dies At Clarion

Mrs. Mary Hoffman Doverspike, aged 85 years, widow of John Doverspike, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Foster Mohney, of Clarion, Monday following a lingering illness due to advanced age.
The deceased was born in Eddyville on July 17, 1843 and was married to Mr. Doverspike in 1869.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Foster Mohney, of Clarion, Claude Doverspike of Vandergrift, and Aclee Doverspike of Putneyville; one brother, Dallas Hoffman of Eddyville; one sister, Mrs. Ida Kerr of Ford City; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services in her memory will be conducted at the Eddyville Reformed Church at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning with the Rev. Croyle of the Alcola Reformed Church officiating. Internment will be made in the church cemetery.
