Reuben Dallas Hoffman, 72, a life long resident of Mahoning Township, Armstrong County, died Saturday morning, October 10, 1936.

He was a son of Reuben Hoffman 1811-1894 and Leah H (Kemerer) Hoffman 1821-1920.

Reuben married Rosa Ella Doverspike, daughter of Daniel and Mary Brumbaugh Doverspike.

Mr. Hoffman's death was sudden. He had husked corn Firiday and had eaten his supper with his family as usual. Failing to make his appearance in the morning a member of the family found him dead in bed.

Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife and eight children.

Funeral services were conducted in the Eddyville Church, Tuesday afternoon. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
