Eliza is the daughter of Henry Harry Lambert and Harriet Cater Lambert, the first of eight children.

Discrepancy Note - The obituary and the Illinois Death Index Record indicates birth year of 1868, however, a copy of her original birth certificate indicating birth year of 1867 is included in the History of The Lamberts from Soham, England November, 2007 by Doc Lambert. The family marker also shows 1867.

Rockford Woman, 67, Summoned at Home

Mrs. Eliza Pollard, 421 North Hinkley Avenue, died at her home at 5 p.m. yesterday following a 3-week illness.

Mrs. Pollard was born in Soham, England, April 13, 1868. She came to America at the age of 16, and on Oct. 26, 1886, was married to Harry Pollard. Mr. Pollard died 19 years ago. Mrs. Pollard was an active member of the Grace M. E. church.

Surviving are six children, Frank of Monroe Center, Mrs. Guy Andrews, Mrs. Oscar Brauer of Winnebago, and Joe and George of Rockford, and Roy of Miami, FL; thirteen grandchildren, two brothers in South Dakota, and a brother in Idaho. A daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Brauer died 7 years ago.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Pollard, 4210 North Hinkley Avenue who died Monday afternoon at her home after a long illness will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Grace M. E. church. The Rev. George T. Green will officiate. Burial will be in the Winnebago cemetery.
