HARRY POLLARD TAKEN BY DEATH
Farmer Residing Five Miles Southwest of Rockford Summoned today

Winnebago, Nov. 14 - Harry Pollard died this morning at 2:45 o'clock at his home on a farm five miles southeast of this village. He had been failing in health for more than a year and recently had been a patient at Rockford hospital. He had been ill in bed for a month.

Mr. Pollard was born in Stone, Cambridgeshire, England, March 8, 1860. When a young man he came to this country. On Oct. 26, 1886 he was united in marriage at Rockford to Miss Eliza Lambert, also a native of England. For a year after their marriage they resided in Rockford, then moving to a farm.

His wife and seven children survive him. Four children live at home, Dorothy, George, Roy, and Joseph Pollard, and the other three, Mrs. Jessie Brauer, Mrs. Guy Andrews, and Frank Pollard reside on farms in this vicinity. William Pollard, of Rockford, is a brother. Funeral arrangements are not completed.

WINNEBAGO - Nov. 14 - The funeral of Harry Pollard who died here at 2:45 o'clock this morning, is to be held on Thursday afternoon, from the home. Interment will be in the Winnebago cemetery and Rev. P. R. Keltner of Freeport will be have charge of the services. Miss Ada Canniford and Mrs. A. D. Newton will sing.

Mr. Pollard was afflicted with tuberculosis of the spine, and had been failing for the past seven weeks. He was 57 years old, and was born in England. He was married in Rockford, in 1886 to Eliza Lambert. Children who survive are Frank, Joseph, George, and Dorothy Pollard, and Mrs. Guy Andrews and Mrs. Arthur Brauer, all of whom live near here. William Pollard of Rockford is a brother, and Harry W. Pollard is a nephew.
