On June 25, 1932, Curt Beyer married Mary Elizabeth Genczo, the daughter of John/Ján Genczo and Elizabeth/Alžbeta (Hossu) Genczo, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston, Illinois. To this union was born one daughter, Mary Ann Beyer.
When Curt and Mary were first married, he worked as a barber and operated a barber shop in Staunton at the Quade Hotel. He later worked for the Shell Oil Refinery.
Curt Beyer also trained police dogs. Some of his dogs were used by Hollywood on TV and Film.
Curt Beyer was a great fisherman and hunter. He would get a group of guys together and they would go fishing or "Coon Hunting".
In his later years (after his wife Mary had passed away), Curt Beyer became a famous patron of the Diamond's Restaurant in Staunton, Illinois. He would come by twice a day to enjoy both lunch and dinner.
Curt Beyer passed away on January 14, 2001 with his daughter Maryann by his bedside.
