William was born and raised nearby on his greatgrandfather James Wilson's farm.William died on the Mayes farm.He was married to Clinton Mayes daughter Pearl.They had four children; James Lawson who died when a baby ,Kyle,Dallas,Denver.William and John are buried in unmarked graves.
