Mrs. Betty Vivian Woodard Jacobs, 70, died Monday (November 10, 2003) at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta (Lowndes Co) following a short illness.

She was a native of Ware County and had resided most of her life in Waycross. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Ambrose Woodard and Fannie Driggers Woodard. She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Waycross.

The survivors include her husband, Aubrey T. Jacobs of Waycross; two sons, Ira Walker (wife Linda) and Michael Walker (wife Susan) all of Waycross; two stepsons, Perry Jacobs and Terry Jacobs both of Sanford, FL; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one step grandchild; three sisters, Dorothy Jean Strickland, Linda Spell, Ann Dowling all of Waycross; six brothers, Charles Woodard, A. W. Woodard, Lawrence Woodard, Glenn Woodard all of Waycross, Donald Woodard of Douglas, Jimmy Woodard of Hoboken; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6 until 8 o'clock.
