The date of death is the one
which the Longley family has
recorded.

NOTE: Location of Nancy's death is
being researched, it's possible she
didn't die in Blount Co, Tennessee?
Research is being done to locate the
year and time of Nancy's death. It's
possible she could have been buried
in her father's family cemetery?

NEW NOTE: Researched has been found
James and Nancy might have lived in
Springfield, Ma in 1844 to 1846 or
so. Records show a James Longley and
wife, Nancy living there and having
two daughters. One being Melissa
and the other Elizabeth. James'
occupation shows him being a Cotton
Carder? More will be researched to
see if this is possible for it to
be our family line.

Nancy Long was the daughter
of Rev. George W. Long 1 and Nancy
Elizabeth 'Maples.'

She was married to James Longley about
1828/29 in Sevier County, Tennessee. The
couple were listed in the 1830 census and
also the 1840 census living in McMinn Co.,
Tennessee.
Nancy was the mother of 8 children which
lived to be older. It's thought she had
14 or more children in all.

Nancy lost several children at birth
and earlier infancy. There were 4
daughters and 2 son's whose names
are unknown at this time.
It is believed Nancy, her sister,
Elizabeth Morton and her mother,
Nancy "Elizabeth" died within 2/3
years apart.

NOTE: A son George Washington, after
her father, also a son named John!
The Longley family history states
that Nancy died in 1852.
Their daughter, Nancy 'Longley'
married Josiah Maples. Their children
were Pleasant Maples. More will be
added later.
