Willard Byrd, 95, of Muncie, Indiana, formerly of Robbins, passed away August 19, 2007, at Parker Health and Rehab Center in Parker City Indiana.

Born January 12, 1912, he was proceeded in death by his parents, Sherman and Rosetta Welch Byrd; his wife Della Kennedy Byrd; infant son, Willard Byrd Jr.;daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Calvin Griffith; three brothers; General Elvin, and Milford Brd; and two sisters, Ada Goad and Lennie Cochran.

He Attended Old Fashion United Baptist Church in Indiana for the past 16 years.

He is survived by two daughters; Glenna Flowers and husband Richard, of Jamestown, and Bernice Myers and Husband James of Crossville; three sons; James Byrd and wife Leona, of Oneida, Benny Byrd and wife, Betty of Selma, Indiana, and Jerry Byrd and wife, Wanda of Parker City, Indiana; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren one sister, Ollie Byrd of Helenwood; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

The family was to have received friends Wednesday, August 22, from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12 noon, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Eugen Byrd and Rev. Randall Kimbrell officiating. Interment was to have followed at Baptist Memorial Cemetery in Robbins. West-Murley Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
