Clarence Jessen Dies
Clarence Jessen, the ten year old son of Mr and Mrs. Ebbie Jessen of this city, died at the Salina Hospital Thursday morning September 8th following an operaction for acute appendicitis.
The case developed early in the week and he was taken to the hospital Wednesday and operated on as soon as possible, peritonitis set in almost immediately which resulted in his death the next morning.
The remains were brought to Manti Thursday and funeral services were held from the Tabernacle Sunday at 3:30 o'clock.
Those from out of the city in attendance at the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs Carl Anderson of Salina, Mr and Mrs Roy Childs and the Parley Childs family all of Gunnison and Miss Hazel Jessen of Salt Lake.
