He married Viola Elizabeth Robbins on 10 Sep 1925, they later divorced. He then married Mary Alice Olsen on 9 Jun 1932 in Mayfield Utah.

He is the father of Darwin Eddie and Lucy Ann (Lowry) Jessen.
