Amanda Jane (Jenny) Sullivan was one of 8 children born to Thomas Jefferson Sullivan and Sarah Catherine Hooker. She was born in Napa, California on October 21, 1866. On May 13, 1883, she married William Haemer Ashford in Dallas, Polk County, Oregon. They had 10 children:
