Maude L. Ashford was the daughter of William Seth Haemer Ashford (1851-1925) and Amanda Jane (Jenny) Sullivan (1866-1960). On May 13, 1906, Maude married George W. Darby in North Santiam, Marion County. George was the son of Samuel Thomas Darby and Lucy Jane Webb. They had three sons:
Marvin Raymond Darby (1909-1968)
Donald Russell Darby (1912-1978)
Lester Samuel Darby (1916-1982)

OBITUARY:
Darby Funeral Today.
The funeral of Mrs. George H. Darby who died in Portland at her home on January 7, will be held at 12 p.m. today from the Terwilliger funeral home. Rev. R. L. Putnam of the Bungalow Christian church will officate and burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery. Mrs. Darby was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ashford of Junction City and hers is the first death among a family of 11 children. She is survived by her husband, and by three children, Marvin, Donald and Lester.
