RUTH P. KITE

Ruth Pauline Kite, 95, of 1018 Comertown Road in Shenandoah, died Tuesday, Sept 20,2005, at Avante of Harrisonburg. She had been ill since July.
She was born Sep 23, 1909, in Page County, Va., and was the daughter of the late John Henry and Rebecca Susan Baugher Comer.
Mrs. Kite was a lifetime resident of this area. she had worked at Blue Bell, the Knitting Mill and retired from Rockingham Sleepwear.
Ruth was a member of the AARP and longtime member of the Mount Lebanon Church, where she was active in many of the church activities. She spent her time enjoying her gardening, flowers and many family get togethers.
Her husband, Curtis Alden Kite, preceded her in death on Oct 27, 1937.
Surviving are a son, Curtis Franklin Kite and wife, Margery, of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Vista Manuel and Gladys Ferrell, both of Shenandoah, and Sylvia Cave of Elkton; and her only granddaughter, Beth Nicholson Kite of New York, New York.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mount Lebanon Church by the Rev. James Martin and Pastor Guy Lee Ferrell. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Luthern Church Cemetery at Grove Hill.
The family will receive friends this evening (Wednesday) from 7-8 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
Memorial donations may be made to the Shenandoah Rescue Squad, 544 4th St., or the Shenandoah Fire Department, 201 Pennsylvania venue, both in Shenandoah, Va 22849
