Thecla Dukart of Sterling Dies; Funeral Monday
Mrs. Thecla Dukart, 78, of 712 Douglas died Friday (Dec. 9) in a Sterling hospital.
Scripture-rosary services will be conducted 7:30 P.M., Sunday at Jones-Hettinger Morturary.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday from St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Dukart was born Feb. 20, 1897, in Russia, the daughter of John and Ann Marie Gertner Hochnadel. She came to the United States in 1912, settling in New York City and in 1914 moved to Logan County.
She married Jacob Dukart Feb. 22, 1916 in Sterling.
Mrs. Dukart was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Kurtzman of Denver, Mrs. Mary Ann Reed and Mrs. Mildred Oponick, both of Alameda, Calif.; five sons, Jacob Dukart Jr., and Charles Dukart, both of Sterling, Anthony Dukart of Denver, John Adam Dukart of Tacoma, Wash., and Harold Dukart of Portland, Ore.; three brothers, John Hochnadel of Sterling, Andrew Hochnadel of Denver and Joseph Hoshnadel of Chicago, Ill., three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Berger of Ft. Lupton, Mrs. Rose Kaiser and Mrs. Anna Kaiser, both of Denver; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
