Mrs. Katherine A. Mari, 68, of 115 Park, died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital following a short illness.
Rosary will be recited 7 o'clock tonight and at 8:30
p.m. Thursday at the Walters Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday from St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Marl was born April 28, 1903, in Schuck, Russia, the daughter of John and Anna Marie Gertner Hochnadel. She was nine years old when her family came to the United States. She married Clarence Mari Sr., Jan. 30, 1923, in Sterling and the couple resided in the Iliff and Atwood communities before moving to Sterling.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and St. Margaret's Circle.
Mrs. Man is survived by her husband, Clarence Mari Sr., of 115 Park; five sons, Jacob Mari of Sterling, Ray Mari of Cortez, Clarence Mari Jr., Albert Mari and Richard Mari, all of Merino; six daughters, Mrs. Marie Marostica of Parma, Idaho, Mrs. Irene Duffield of Petaluma, Calif., Mrs. Rosie Wright of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Dorothy Dobson of Sterling, Mrs. Gertie Fogale of New Castle, Colo., and Mrs. Barbara O'Neal of Quonset Point, R.I.; three brothers, Andrew Hochnadel of Denver, John Hochnadel of Sterling and Joe Hochnadel of Willow Springs, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Techla Dukart of Sterling, Mrs. Rose Kaiser and Mrs. Ann Kaiser, both of Denver and Mrs. Barbara Berger of Fort Lupton; 37 grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
