Magdalena Lambrecht, 322 N. 6th St., long-time Sterling resident, died Thursday at Logan County hospital following a brief illness. She was 70.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Rosaries will be recited tonight at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anthony's and at 8 p.m. at Radford Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Father James Kane.
Mrs. Lambrecht was born May 1, 1899 in Schuck, Russia to John and Marie Hochnadel. She was married to Peter Lambrecht Sr. Feb. 7, 1921 in Sterling. She came to the United States in 1913 and lived here. After her marriage they moved to Ovid and returned here after a short time.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Among survivors are her husband Peter Lambrecht Sr. of 322 N. 6th St.; seven sons and two daughters, George, Joe, Albert, Ray, John Jr., Ed and Francis Lambrecht all of Sterling, Mrs. Rose Shank of Ovid and Mrs. Florence Gertner of Iliff; three brothers, John Hochnadel of Sterling, Andrew Hochnadel of Denver and Joe Hochnadel of Willow Springs, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Katherine Mari and Mrs. Thecla Dukart of Sterling, Mrs. Barbara Berger of Ft. Jupton, Mrs. Rose Kaiser and Mrs. Ann Kaiser of Denver and 38 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Ann Lambrecht in 1952 and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Marie Maier and Mrs. Elizabeth Schell.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
