JAMES LARKIN BOLES
Larkin age 84, a resident of a Bonham nursing home, died in a Sherman hospital May 2, 1971. He had been in ill health five years and in the hospital six days.

Funeral services were held at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home chapel at 3 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. H. V. Caraway and the Rev. David Griffin, Methodist ministers officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 24, 1886, in Huntsville, Madison County Alabama, son of James Thomas and Edna Ellen Pylant Boles. He married Miss Margaret Dyer in Honey Grove Sept. 26, 1909. A retired farmer, he made his home in Seven Oaks nursing home at Bonham.

Survivors were his wife of the nursing home; three sons, James E. Boles of Oklahoma City, J. L. Boles Jr. of Greenville and Herman Ray Boles of Duncanville; five daughters, Mrs. Edna Holland of Denison, Mrs. Kelly Metcalf of Brownfield, Mrs. Linda Sisco of Honey Grove, Mrs. Lena Mae Patterson of Cloud, Mrs. Ruth Watson of Sherman; three brothers, Earl and Oscar Boles, both of Honey Grove and Edwin Boles of Dallas.

He was a member of the McKenzie United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Masons will have charge of the graveside services. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
