Herman Ray Boles, 89, of Duncanville, passed away on October 16th, 2021. He was born on December 12th, 1931 in Honey Grove, Fannin County, TX, to James Larkin Boles and Nannie Margaret Dyer Boles. He graduated from Honey Grove High School in 1948. Ray enlisted in the Army in January 1951 and honorably discharged in January 1954 as a Sergeant. He married Jo Lena Lee of Windom, TX, on October 22nd, 1954. Together they raised two daughters in Duncanville. He worked in the freight/trucking management business for many years.
Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jo Lena Lee Boles. Two daughters, Leesha Boles Bateman of Duncanville, TX, and Yvonne Boles Trantham of Arlington, TX. Son-in-laws Charles Bateman of Duncanville and Michael Trantham of Arlington, TX. Grandchildren Laura Lee Bateman Wallace of Duncanville, Amanda Ruth Bateman Bradshaw of Grand Prairie, Patricia Trantham of San Marcos, TX, Mary Trantham of College Station, TX, William and Thomas Trantham of Arlington, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents James Larkin Boles and Nannie Margaret Boles, five sisters and three brothers.
