Former Resident Dies Suddenly
Word has been received of the sudden death of former resident, Loyd Adkinson of Central City on Monday, August 17. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a. m. Thursday, August 20, at the Methodist Church in Central City. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; children Karen & Lee; 2 grandchildren; brothers, Harold of Bassett and Charles of Springview; sisters Lucille Richey, Wewela, and Ruth Spann, Basin, Wy.

LOYD ADKINSON
Loyd L. Adkinson, 71, of Central City died Monday, August 17, 1992 at Litzenberg Memorial Hospital in Central City.
Services were held Thursday August 20, 1992 at the United Methodist Church in Central City. The REV. Bob Neben officiated. Burial was in the Central City Cemetery.
Memorial are suggested to the United Methodist Church or the Merrick Foundation.
Mr. Adkinson was born July 5, 1921, at Springview to James and Clara (Blaue) Adkinson. He attended school and graduated from Keya Paha County High School in 1938.
He ranched until 1969 in Springview, then moved to Central City where he worked in the fertilizer business. He purchased the plant and operated A. A. Fertilizer. He laster sold the business to Cargill and retired in 1986.
He married Dorothy Jacobsen on August 23, 1959, in Silver Creek.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Board of Trustees, was involved in 4-H livestock, and traveled a lot.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Karen (Mrs. Don) Benner of Central City; one son, Lee of Lincoln' two brothers, Roy of Mills and Harold of Bassett; two sisters, Ruth Spann of Basin, WY, and Lucille Richey of Wewela, SD; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Edith, and another sister, Dorothy Pike.
