CLARA BLAUE ADKINSON

Clara Anna Matilda Blaue was born May 22, 1888 in Missouri to Lewis and Anna Blaue and died at the Ainsworth Hospital October 23, 1970 at the age of 82 years, 5 months and one day.

At the age of three, she moved with her parents and six sisters to a homestead near Johnstown, Nebraska and received her education in Brown County. She was then employed at Pierce, Nebraska where she met Robert Adkinson and was married June 21, 1911. The family moved to Keya Paha County in 1918 to ranch where the entire family was raised. She moved to Springview in 1959 where she lived six years before going to the Bethel Nursing Home in Ainsworth. She was preceded by a daughter in 1935 and her husband in 1945. Survivors include three sons, Charles L., Mills, Nebraska, Harold, Springview, and Lloyd of Central City, Nebraska; three daughters, Mrs. Sterling (Ruth) Spann, Basin, Wyoming, Mrs. Melvin (Dorothy) Pike, Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. Frank (Lucile) Richey of Wewela, South Dakota; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; three sisters, Hilda Blaue, Wyoming, Michigan, Emma Blaue, Fremont, Nebraska, and Mrs. Amelia Schelm, Ainsworth, Nebraka.
