Mrs. Cora Jessie McPheron, 59, died Thursday at her home in Piasa. Her husband, Delbert McPheron, is a patient in Boyd Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, where his condition was described as serious. McPheron entered the hospital Thursday.

Born March 1, 1891 in Jersey County, Mrs. McPheron was a daughter of the late William and Annie Portwood Loy.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph H. Dugan, Piasa; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Frank, Jerseyville; and Mrs. Zadie Feldjes, Medora; seven brothers, John, Oliver and George, Medora; James, Rockbridge; Louis, Plainview; Frank, Jerseyville; and Tony, Wrights; and two grandsons.

Funeral rites will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Jacoby funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the residence in Piasa after 7 p.m. today and until noon Sunday when the body will be taken to the funeral home.
