Myrtle Idolia Johnson was born Feb. 10, 1885, near Searsboro, the eldest daughter of George and Emma (Watson) Johnson. Here she grew to womanhood and on Nov. 25, 1908, she was married to John Sheehy of Searsboro. To this union one son was born, Paul, who lives at home. After a lingering illness of four months with dropsy and heart trouble, she passed away Sept. 18. 1932, aged 47 years, 7 months, and 8 days. All that medical skill and human kindness could do was not enough to prolong her life. She united with the Catholic church before her marriage and remained true and helpful to the last.
Her mother passed away Nov. 8, 1926, also one sister, Addie, and one brother, Jesse, have preceded her. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, John Sheehy, her son, Paul, her father, Geo. Johnson, Sr., her six brothers, Charles of Corwith, Edgar, Fred, Albert, Harry, and George, Jr., all of nearby Searsboro, and three sisters, Mrs. Alpha Fleener of Searsboro, Mrs. Nettie De Hoedt of Barnes City, and Mrs. Edna Gable of Ladysmith, Wis., numerous other relatives and friends.
