Ottilia "Tillie" Preimesberger

Tillie was born January 4, 1899 in St. Michael, MN, to the late Jacob and Ottilia (Duerr) Merkling. At the age of 4 she moved and lived in Canada with her family before returning to the Pierz area in her teens. Tillie married Henry Preimesberger Sr. October 8, 1919 at St. Joseph's Church in Pierz. She had spent most of her life in the Pierz area. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, and a 50 Year Member of the Christian Mothers.

Survivors include 6 daughters, Mrs. Louis (Mildred) Veith of Pierz, Mrs. Rhine (Rita) Langer of St. Paul, Mrs. John (Esther) Logerquiest of St. Paul, Mrs. Richie (Judith) Meyer of Pierz, Mrs. Gerald (Patronilla) Stuckmayer of Pierz and Vitalia Whipple of Mounds View, MN; 7 sons, Al of Hillman, Rod of Mpls, Henry Jr. of Genola, Art of Pierz, Pat of Phoenix, Arizona, Jim of St. Paul, and Vitus of St. Paul; 3 sisters, Freda Krueger of Pierz, Louise Gelhar of West Bend, Wisconsin, and Angeline Block of Pierz; 1 brother, Dan White of Washington; 55 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on March 31, 1970; 1 son, Joseph; 6 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild.
