Mildred was born in Pierz, Minnesota on July 16, 1920 to the late Henry Sr. and Ottilia (Merkling) Preimesberger. She married Louis Veith May 19, 1941 in Pierz. She owned and operated "Mildred's Beauty Shop" in Pierz for many years and later operated the beauty shop from her home. She is a past member and past president of the Legion Auxiliary and a member of Christian Mothers.

She is survived by her husband, Louis, sons; Ron of Eden Prairie and Jack of Pierz, daughters; Mrs. Don (Arlene) Jamma of Pierz, Mrs. Chuck (Romelle) Hanson of Inver Grove Heights, Mrs. Francis (Sharon) Becker of Coon Rapids, Mrs. David (Lucinda) Kaiser of Eden Prairie, Deborah Veith of Inver Grove Heights and Maxine Veith of Brooklyn Park, sisters; Mrs. Rhine (Rita) Langer of St. Paul, Mrs. John (Esther) Logerquist of St. Paul, Mrs. Richie (Judith) Meyer of Pierz, Mrs. Gerald (Patronilla) Stuckmayer of Pierz and Vitalia Whipple of Mounds View, brothers; Al of Hillman, Rod of Minneapolis, Henry Jr. of Genola, Art of Pierz, Pat of Phoenix, AZ, Jim of St. Paul and Vitus of St. Paul, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
