Clarence Zetter was born Aug. 10, 1908, in Rock Township, rural Sheyenne, North Dakota to Swedish immigrant parents Andrew & Helga Zetter. He grew-up on his parents' homestead wheat dry-farm with him being born third of eleven children.(Iner, Marie, Clarence, Albin, Oscar, Barbara, Blenda, Lenore, Vivian, Melvin & Elsie) He married Ardys Berg of Tokio, North Dakota on Jan. 12, 1945. He farmed with his wife in the Sheyenne - Oberon, North Dakota area until 1987, when they moved to Devils Lake, North Dakota. Clarence served on school boards for Twin Tree Township and the Oberon School District. He also served on the board of directors for the Farm & Home Administration, Minnewaukan, North Dakota.
Clarence is survived by his wife - Ardys Berg-Zetter; daughters - Sherrill Zetter-Baker of Hillsboro, Oregon / Beth Zetter-Hockett of Cornelius, Oregon / Nola Zetter-Kunze of Newberg, Oregon / three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren / brothers - Oscar Zetter of Sun City, Arizona & Melvin Zetter of Portland, Oregon / sisters - Vivian Zetter-Sorensen of Los Angeles, California & Elsie Zetter-Riggin of Richland, Washington. Clarence was preceded in death by his son - Warren Zetter; brothers - Iner & Albin Zetter and sisters - Marie Zetter-DeLong, Barbara Zetter-Johnson, Blenda Zetter-Nichols and Lenore Zetter-Maddox.
