Funeral services at Oakdale Memorial Chapel in Glendora, Calif., for Edwin A. Johnson, 53, former Sioux Falls resident, who died April 28 at San Dimas, Calif., hospital.
His death was the result of injuries suffered that day when he was struck by a car while working on his job as a cable splicer for General Telephone of San Dimas.
Mr. Johnson was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Sioux Falls. He married Marge Anderson in Sioux Falls, and the couple resided here before moving to San Dimas. The World War II veteran had been employed by General Telephone Co. since 1956.
Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. James Fleming, Los Angeles; Mrs. George Cerantes, Lucerne, Calif., and Jeanette, at home; four sons, Eddie Jr., David, Dale and Paul, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Johnson, Sioux Falls; three brothers William, Brandon; Gerald, Sioux Falls, and Carroll, Azusa, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ray Moore, Fountain, Colo., and a grandson.
