Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 27 in the Roosevelt Stake Center at 1 p.m. for Presley Timothy, 69, Roosevelt, who died Sept. 24 in a Granger hospital of Hodgkins disease.

He was born Oct. 6, 1902 in Maeser Uintah county to Heber and Esther Elizabeth Vernon Timothy. He married Clara Elverda Olsen Dec. 1, 1927 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was retired owner and operator of Home Lumber Company for 35 years and was a former member of the Roosevelt stake high council and was a high priest.

Survivors include his widow, sons an daughters, Howard Wayne, Pullman, Wash,; Mrs. Byron (Colene) Hancock, Presley Val, Mrs. Robert (Connie) Rollins, and Mrs. Bruce (Linda) Iorg, all Salt Lake; Mrs. Jack (Kay) Burgess, Bend, Ore.; Charles Richard, Missola, Mont.; Lyle Dennis, Roosevelt; Mrs. Marvin (LeeAnn) Richens, Vernal; 34 grandchildren, two great-granchildren, brothers and sisters, Lewis A., Vernal; Weston, Kaysville, Lynn, Roosevelt; Mrs. Ben (Esther) Dye, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Telintha Rasmussen, Ballard.

Funeral services were conducted by Ardean Bench, Jack Burgess gave the prayer at the mortuary; prelude and postlude were played by Jayne Allen. Orman Sullivan gave the invocation; Bishop Dennis Mower read the obituary and gave remarks. Speakers were Kenneth Allred and Hollis Hullinger.

Musical numbers included a solo by Diane Brown, accompanied by Diane Olsen at the piano and Rhoda Bench on the violin; a solo by Dorothy Luck, accompanied by Lillian Wilkerson; and a quarted, Clifford Drollinger, Warren McKenna, Ronald Benson and Grant Kent accompanied by Jayne Allen. Richard Olsen gave the closing prayer. Bishop Woodrow Nielson dedicated the grave.

Pall Bearers were sons, Howard Wayne, Presley Val, Charles Richard and Lyle Dennis, grandsons, Lee and Don Hancock, Honorary pall bearers were members of the high priests quorum.

The Roosevelt third ward Relief Society took care of the flowers and served the lunch at the chapel.

Burial was in the Roosevelt City Cememtery.
