PARLEY TIMOTHY FINAL SERVICES HELD IN ROOSEVELT

BALLARD--Funeral services were held in the First Ward LDS Chapel in Roosevelt Saturday for Parley Timothy, 72, with Bishop Rae Scholes conducting.

The family prayer at the mortuary was given by Presley Timothy. Obituary was given by Bishop Scholes. Opening prayer was by Vernal Freston. First speaker was Karl Shisler.

Laura Ann Gardner sang "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine." Second speaker was Arbun Bellon. A song, "Oh My Father" was sung by Earl Gardner. Closing prayer by Dale Stewart. Jerrie Carroll played the prelude and postlude music. The Relief Society took care of the flowers.

Pallbearers were Matthew, Mark, Bart and Robert and Jay Timothy and Elmer Moll. Burial was in the Roosevelt Cemetery. Dinner was served in the park by relatives.

OUT-OF-TOWN guests were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hewitt, Glade Goodrich, Glade Goodrich and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Timothy and family of La Puente,California; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Stewart and family, Rangely; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Timothy, Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. Weston Timothy, Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Ron Huntzinger, Logan; Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Nysewander, Atlanta, Georgia; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mall and family, Monitou Springs, Colorado; Namia Maxfield, Colleen Handcock and daughter, Janet, Phyles Fowler, Mr. and Mrs. Val Timothy and son and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Timothy, all of Salt Lake City.

Mr. and Mrs. Dell Timothy, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hone, Springville; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Timothy, Murray; Mr. and Mrs. Ethel Argyle, Sandy; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Timothy and family, Ogden.

Mr. Timothy was born to Heber and Esther Elizabeth Vernon Timothy July 8, 1898 in Vernal. He married Alice Jolly and was later divorced. He then married Lucile Whitmore and they divorced.

He made his home in Roosevelt since 1910 and was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include three sons and four daughters, Parley, Heber, Gary Lee, Lapriente, California; Jay, Ogden; Mrs. Dale (Lila Rae) Stewart, Rangely; Mrs. Elmer (Kathleen) Valene Mall, Manitou Springs, Colorado; Mrs. Richard (Cheryl Valloy) Nyswander, Atlanta, Georgia; step-son, Raymond Pace, Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters, Lewis Andrew, Vernal; Weston, Kaysville; Presley, Lynn, Mrs. Ollie (Telindha) Rasmussen, all of Roosevelt; Mrs. Ben (Esther) Dye, Salt Lake City.

Burial was in the Roosevelt City Cemetery.
