Life's Work/Service/Interests: He dearly loved his wife, Lucy Powell Timothy; they were married October 24, 1951, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a hard worker and knew how to fix or build anything. He was very creative and could make things work better, run faster or be more efficient. Val worked for Boeing and then Hercules, where he worked as a quality control specialist and retired from there after 32 years of work. Val was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Central Atlantic States Mission for two years while he was married and had two children and served in many church callings and as a temple worker. Val and Lucy had seven children whom they raised, served and loved well. He was a kind and gentle man. Although he suffered from Parkinson’s for the past seven years, his family thought he would live much longer; but, that was not God’s plan. They recognize this was a tender mercy the Lord gave to him. He has wanted to join his wife, Lucy, ever since she died on July 20, 2015. Presley Val Timothy passed away suddenly on Friday, May 5, 2017.
Family Message: "As children, how can we ever pay enough tribute to a father who saved us, who was the rock and safe place that we needed while growing up, who sacrificed and worked so hard to provide for us? We love you Dad and thank you for all you have done for us!"
Survived By: His children: Teresa (John), Trina, Presley, Derk (Tami), Melonie (Don) and James; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: His dearly loved wife; his daughter, Valerie; his parents; two granddaughters: Jessica and Julie; and brother, Lyle.
