HARTSELLE - George B. Roberts, 71, 407 Pine St., Hartselle, died this morning in a Hartselle hospital.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Peck Funeral Home pending arrival of relatives.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Nettie Roberts; two sons, Luther Roberts, Hartselle, and Leldon Roberts, Sacramento, Cal.; six daughters, Mrs. Roy Smith and Mrs. Norman Sparkman, both of Decatur, Mrs. Louis Walker, Hartselle, Mrs. Rogers Marshall, Gary, Ind., Mrs. Sam Popiel, New York City and Mrs. Vera Eades, Montgomery; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Howell, Hartselle, Mrs. Velma McMillan, Mobile, and Miss Mary Roberts, Decatur; two brothers, John Roberts, Vinemont 1, and Oda Roberts, Hartselle; mother, Mrs. Ida Bynum, Decatur; 14 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Roberts was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church at Neel.

Hartselle - Funeral services for George B. Roberts, 71, 507 Pine St. N. Hartselle, are to be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Johnson's Chapel Church.
The Revs. W. W. Coffey, Luther Carden and Huie Turner are to officiate.
Burial is to be in Johnson's Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers are to be the following grandsons: Arlon Sparkman, James Lee, Clyde George, Glenn Marshall, Robert Walker and Binford Marshall.
The body was returned to the residence Saturday at 10 a.m. and is to remain there until time to leave for services.
Mr. Roberts died in a Hartselle hospital Friday morning.
