HARTSELLE -- Graveside service for Clara Smith, 89, of Decatur was to be today at 11 a.m. at Moss Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Edwin Hodges officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Smith died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Decatur. She was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Morgan County to George Berry Roberts and Nettie Mae Wallace Roberts. She was the widow of William Roy Smith and was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. She was a saleswoman for Belk Hudson and Parisian.
Survivors include one son, Clyde George of Decatur; one brother, Luther B. Roberts of Danville; three sisters, Mable Sparkman of Priceville, Earline Marshall of Foley and Vera Mae Roberts of Hueytown; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Grandchildren will be pallbearers.
