He was a retired farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Lee Robertson.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Hunt and Opal Diane Hamilton; three sons, Charles Bridges, Jimmy Lee Bridges and Eddie Bridges; a sister, Opal Strickland; 17 grand-children; and 22 great-grand-children.
Services were held in Wilson Funeral Home at Osceola. Burial was in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.
