William Wirey Dies Suddenly
Rites To Be Held at Edinburg Thursday
EDINBURG, May 27 – William Wirey, 85 years of age, was found dead in bed at his home on South Walnut Street, Tuesday morning at 7:30 o'clock. He had been suffering from a heart ailment.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Mutz mortuary with the Rev. D. D. McColl, pastor of the Edinburg Christian Church, officiating. Burial is to be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Calling Hours Set
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and are invited to attend the rites.
Born in Brown County May 6, 1867, he was the son of John and Elizabeth Spitzner Wirey. He was married to Emma Wray on Jan. 25, 1893. She died April 12, 1945.
Mr. Wirey was a member of the New Bethel Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph Wirey, of Indianapolis; Floyd Wirey, of Edinburg; and five daughters, Mrs. Edith Rule, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Hazel Alexander, of Franklin; Mrs. Violet Hinkle, of Greensburg; Miss Lillian Wirey and Miss Hesper Wirey, at home.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR WILLIAM WIREY
The Reverend D.D. McColl was in charge of funeral services at the Mutz Funeral Home Thursday for William Wirey. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Frank Schuder, Robert Briggs, Dale Stitsworth, William A. Wirey, Dallas Crooke, and Raymond Denk.
