Services for Edna A. Nightingale, 86, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Nightingale died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1996, at Sterling Heights Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 13, 1910, in Lawrence, the daughter of Ernest and Elodra Patterson.
She was a mother and homemaker all of her adult life. She was also a school crossing guard at East Heights School for several years.
She married Richard Nightingale on May 16, 1928, in Lawrence. He died in 1985. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Charolette Trybom, November 1972, Nadine Nightingale, 1956, and Louise Nightingale, 1954.
Survivors include a son, Richard Nightingale, Lawrence; a daughter, Helen Perkins, Lawrence; four sisters, Vivian Snell, Golden, Colo., Geraldine Tyler, Lawrence, Pauline Graham, Plano, Tex., and Norma Hall, Lawrence; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
