Services for Marion "Pat" Patterson, 74, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rumsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Craig officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Patterson died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1994, at his home.
He was born July 12, 1919, in a covered wagon between Larned and Ely, while his parents were following the wheat harvest. His parents were Ernest Taylor and Elodra Avila Dodge Patterson.
He grew up in Lawrence and attended school here.
He was an electrician who worked on commercial and industrial projects. He retired in 1982. His hobbies included fishing and hunting.
He served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 226 of Topeka, the Lawrence Masonic Lodge No. 6, A.F. & A.M., and the Alford-Clarke Post No. 852 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lawrence.
He married Lolita Martha McManness on July 27, 1948, in Colorado Springs, Colo. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Steve, Olathe; two daughters, Shelley Patterson, Lawrence, and Linda Harding, Batavia, Ill.; a brother, Arthur, Lawrence; five sisters, Edna Nightingale, Geraldine Tyler and Norma Hall, all of Lawrence, Pauline Graham, Plano, Tex., and Vivian Snell, Golden, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
