Graveside services for Arthur Raymond Patterson, 80, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Patterson died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1996, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 8, 1915, in Lawrence, the son of Ernest Perry and Eldora Dodge Patterson.
He was a lifelong resident of Lawrence, where he attended schools, and was a painter all his life.
Mr. Patterson started as a self-employed painter and then was business agent for the Lawrence Painter's Local No. 2 for many years. He worked at the Kansas Turnpike for 10 years on the bridge crew as a painter. H retired in 1981.
He was a member of Mount Oread Aerie No. 39 of the Eagles. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and the horse races.
He married Edna M. Corbin on July 8, 1936, in Ottawa. She died Aug. 10, 1985.
Survivors include three sons, Raymond, Robert and Galen, all of Lawrence; a daughter, Marilyn Bailey, Lawrence; five sisters, Edna Nightingale, Geraldine Tyler and Norma Hall, all of Lawrence, Vivian Snell, Golden, Colo., and Pauline Graham, Plano, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-
