Obituary, Southern Illinoisan, Thursday, October 27, 1977
Raymond J. House, 59, of Chester, died unexpectedly Monday, oct. 24, 1977, in Caliente, Nev., where he had stopped en route to Chester. Randolph County authorities reported death was caused by an apparent heart attack.
Mr. House was employed by the Illinois Power Co. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Jacob, to Albert and Eva Bradley House.
Survivors include a son, Gary House of Chester; three brothers, Walter House of Chester, Ed House of Gillette, Wy., and James House of Ava; four sisters, Alberta Holmes of Dupo, Minnie Jenkins of Wood River, and Emma Grott and Sally Ford, both of Belleville.
Funeral services will be at the Welge Funeral Home in Chester. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester.
