Funeral services will be Saturday, May 26, 2001 for 85-year-old Walter House of Chester, IL who died Sunday, May 20, 2001 at Chester Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL.

Born March 22, 1916 in Cora, IL, the son of Albert and Eva (Sarah) House. He married Virginia Clayton on May 30, 1942 in St. Louis, MO and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Lois Splendoria of Phoenix, AZ. Two grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four sisters and four brothers.

Friends may call after 4pm Friday, May 25, 2001 at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Funeral services for Walter House will be Saturday, May 26, 2001 at 1pm at the Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL with Rev. Marvin "Bud" Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, IL.

Memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Chester, IL or to St. Ann's Healthcare Center of Chester, IL.
