Calpurnia Dabel Knutti, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away July 25, 2015 in Vernal at age 94.

She was born October 7, 1920 in Freedom, Wyoming to August and Sarah Snyder Dabel, the eleventh of sixteen children.

Calpurnia was married and sealed to the love of her life, Edward Knutti, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple on July 7, 1944. Together they raised five daughters.

Purnia will be remembered for her humor and spunky spirit. She spent her life always thinking about and serving others, including taking into her home those who needed her love and support.

Her family was very important to her and she loved each and every one. She loved sewing, cooking, reading and had a special love for family history work. Decades were spent in learning more about her ancestors.

Her love of sewing led her to work in many retail shops doing alterations and to Continental Trailways where she sewed seat covers. She was always ready to create a new sewing project or fix something for her friends and family.

She had a deep and abiding testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ, and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully in many callings throughout her life. She was a Salt Lake Temple worker from 1978 through 1984 and later in the Vernal Temple. She went on a microfilming mission with her husband in 1976-77 in Illinois and Wisconsin.

She is survived by her children: Rhonda (Dick) Buehler of Riverton; Karen (Mike) Berry of Hermiston, Oregon; Nola (Dar) Peterson of Bountiful; Ann (Don) Reynolds of Vernal; and Jill (Richard) McDonald of Vernal;, 22 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and sister Verda Helm of Smoot, Wyoming.

Preceded in death by her spouse, mother and father and siblings: Florence, Ralph, Arthur, Marvin, Ruth, Norman, Ronald, Leone, Cecil, Vernon, Floyd, Colleen, Junior, Bobby.
